Rubha Hunish

Rubha Hunish, the northernmost point of the island, is a magical place; this is the best walk on Skye for seabird and marine mammal watching.

Walk along a well defined moorland path, sometimes boggy in places, but you have to negotiate a steep scrambly descent down rocks leading to the headland.

The hike to Rubha Hunish offers many breathtaking views of the Minch estuary and the Outer Hebrides mountains further out. With a little luck you can see many sea birds as well as seals, dolphins and small whale species.
